Connie Herring
Connie L. Herring, 75, of Jackson Center passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 in Kindred Hospital, Lima. She was born April 21, 1939 in Logan County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lewis and Grace (Wright) Ward.
She is survived by her four children; Lu Ann (J. David) Preston of Sidney, Jamie (Brian) Lotz of Jackson Center, Darren Herring of Columbus, and Chad (Trish) Herring of Dayton, six grandchlildren; Marshall (Allie) Lotz, Rachelle (Scott) Cary, Skyler Lotz, Danielle (Brent) Graham, Katelyn (Niko) Mannella, and Devon Herring, eight great grandchildren, and numous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Harlan and Stanley Ward.
Connie worked for EMI Corporation in Jackson Center before retiring. She was a member of the Muchinippi Church and was an avid basketball fan, and loved watching ballgames on TV. She also enjoyed NASCAR, but her favorite time was that of which she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Pastor Ed Shady will officiate a funeral service on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike Street, Jackson Center. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
