Cort E. Kretschmar

Cort E. Kretschmar, 92, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went home to greet his Saviour Friday, July 29, 2011 from Campbell House in Bellefontaine. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota April 4, 1919, a son of the late Oscar and Anna (Fair) Kretschmar.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Kretschmar and Philip Kretschmar and two sisters, Genevieve Featherstone and Virginia Davenport.

In 1942 he married Florence A. Bushy, and she preceded him in death in August 1981. He then married the former Carol Wilson in Arizona on May 21, 1982, and she survives along with step-daughters, Janet (Ed) Roberts of Tennessee, Joyce (Fred) Greetham of Wellington, Ohio and step-sons, Jeffory (Cathy) Willetts of Bellefontaine, JD (Judy) Willetts of Wilmington, Delaware; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

He was a plumbing contractor in Mesa, Arizona and a building contractor president, building homes for the retired. He was also a member and deacon of the North Phoenix Baptist Church for nearly twenty years. When he moved to Bellefontaine he became a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Pastor Jeffory Willetts will conduct a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, where friends may call Friday, August 5, 2011, from 6 to 8 P.M. Interment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa, Arizona at a later date.
