Cynthia Sue Taylor, 59, of Jackson Center, passed away Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born in Sidney on November 13, 1955 to the late Henry “Hank” and Alice (Rosengarten) Gies.
Cynthia married Donald R. Taylor on November 11, 1977 and he survives in Jackson Center. She is also survived by a sister, Linda (Mike Ledley) Fout of Jackson Center; a brother, Ron Gies of Jackson Center; sisters-in-law, Marcia L. (Buster) Parker of Chesapeake, Virginia, Donna Jane (Joe) Cocozzo of Concord Twp., Ohio and Grace E. (Edwin) Thornhill of Maplewood; a niece, Angie (Bill) Conaway of Jackson Center; a nephew, Anthony Cocozzo of Concord Twp., Ohio; a great-niece, Sierra; and special friends, Gayle and John Everitt of Milton, Florida.
Cynthia was a 1974 graduate of Jackson Center High School and worked many years in telephone sales. She was raised in the Lutheran church and baptized at Grace Lutheran Church. Cynthia enjoyed country music, playing the slots at the casinos, traveling and reading. She used social media to maintain friendships and loved to watch live footage on her computer of nature – especially watching eagles in their natural habitat. Cynthia never met a stranger and if there wasn’t a party going on when she showed up, there was always one once she got there.
Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Jackson Center, on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 4-7pm. Pastor Kent Hollis will conduct the funeral service on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the funeral home at 10am. Burial will be in Shelby Memory Gardens.
