D. Hesser

D. Ruth Hesser, 93, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away at 5:30 A.M. Friday, November 9, 2012 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Clyde, Ohio October 7, 1919, to the late John and Lillian (Strohl) Beatty.

On June 24, 1939, she married Charles E. Hesser in Belle Center, and he preceded her in death October 12, 1977. Also preceding her in death were sons, Charles Richard Hesser, Gary Eugene Hesser; sisters, Lucille Fulton, Esther Kuaille, Jessie Baum and brothers, John Beatty, Edward Beatty and Carl Beatty.

She is survived by a son, Phil (Becky) Hesser of Belle Center; grandchildren, Jenny (Tim Newland) Hesser of Belle Center, Billie (Grant) Mizek of Roundhead, Ohio, Chuck (Jenni) Hesser of Belle Center, Shawn Hesser of Belle Center, Holly (John) Baughman of East Liberty, Ohio and Melissa (Justin Van Buskirk) Hesser of Bellefontaine, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Zach, Lexi, Ethan, Gavin, Diesel, Maelee, Carter; a brother, Donald (Katy) Beatty of Marion, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Donna Hesser of Belle Center; a sister-in-law, Louise Hesser of Sylvania, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

She had worked at Crawford’s Department Store in Belle Center and was a member of the Church of Christ in Belle Center. She loved to sew, cook, crochet, bake and read. She also loved to garden, and always had beautiful flower beds. She also loved feeding and watching the birds and was very devoted to her family.

The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November, 13, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, with Pastor Dean Wasson officiating. Calling hours will be Monday, November 12, 2012 from 2 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Belle Center Church of Christ.
