Dale F. Amweg

Dale F. Amweg, 87, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Ayden Healthcare of Belle Springs. He was born in Kenton, Ohio on November 30, 1936, to the late Elmer and Inez (Coats) Amweg. He is also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law: Clarence (Margaret) Hiller, Edward Hiller, Kenneth (Louella) Hiller, Jim Elwood; and sister-in-law, Ruthella (Leo) Kelly.

On July 24, 1960, he married the former Marilyn Hiller and she survives in Belle Center.

He is also survived by sons: Bill (Kathy) Amweg and Tim Amweg; grandchildren: Tonya (Jeremy) Poe and Ashley (Terry) Brentlinger; great grandchildren: Baleigh, Kayleigh, Trent, Taylor, Madison, Ayla, Julianna; and sisters-in-law: Doris Elwood and Lois Hiller. 

A hard worker, Dale worked 45 years as an auto parts salesman, where he met many people and created many friendships along the way. He retired from A&I supply, where he was co-owner. He was a very active member at his church, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kenton. He also was a board member of S.O.U.P in Kenton where he served many meals and was a Boy Scout troop leader.

Dale enjoyed being outdoors whether he was camping, gardening, or attending sporting events. He and his wife also loved to travel and visit historical sites. Also in his free time he enjoyed reading mysteries and spending time with his family. 

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center. Visitation will be two hours prior from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
