Daniel Lee Montrose

Daniel Lee Montrose, age 79, of Indian Lake Shores in Belle Center, Ohio passed away Thursday evening July 25, 2019, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Daniel was born in Columbus, Ohio July 30, 1939, a son of the late Floyd and Mae (Cox) Montrose.

Daniel grew up in Springfield, Ohio and graduated in 1957 from Springfield High School.  He worked for United Airlines at Cox Municipal Airport and continued his career with Flying Tigers Lines (now FedEx) in the New York and New Jersey areas in management positions.

In 2001, Daniel and his wife moved to Indian Lake, sharing fond memories of their youth and embarking on new adventures for many years.  He worked for Steve Austin’s Auto Group as a courtesy car driver.  Daniel enjoyed the lake community, good stories, his morning cup of McDonald’s coffee and most of all – the leisurely cruises around the lake.

Daniel is reunited with his wife Shirley Montrose, his parents Floyd and Mae Montrose, his brother Robert Lee Montrose and his sister, Dorcas Ruth Montrose Cash.

He will be forever missed by his daughter, Darlene (David) Montrose-Kestner of Farmington, New Hampshire; many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews and his good friends and neighbors.

A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
