Danny Alan Morgan

Danny Alan Morgan, age 79, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Thursday afternoon April 18, 2019, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in DeGraff, Ohio May 6, 1939, to the late John Henry and Neoma Edith (Grimes) Morgan.  Danny married Karen “Kay” Sheeley September 2, 1978 in Huntsville, Ohio and she preceded him in death April 13, 2013.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings Carl E. Smith, Catherine M. Newland, Marjorie M. Bryson, Dorothy E. Lease, John J. Morgan, and Mary Ann Downing.

Danny is survived by his children, Neoma Price of Bellefontaine, and John A. (Melanie) Morgan of Bellefontaine; a step-son, Charles (Beth) Ragland of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Curtis Morgan, Jonathon Morgan, Tierra Morgan, Dani Miller, Cody Jarrett, and Dustin Jarrett; great-grandchildren, Landyn, Grant, and Callileigha Jarrett, Bentley Morgan, Ryker, Jaxton, Kyson, and Zayden Morgan and brothers Richard D. Morgan of Urbana, Ohio and Jim (Barb) Morgan of Wapakoneta, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Danny was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam.  He was a tool and die maker and worked at Siemens for many years.  After retiring from Siemens, Danny opened Morgan Tool & Die and enjoyed the time working in the shop with his son.  He loved to hunt, fish, mushroom hunt, and show his car at area car shows.  Danny was a member of the VFW, Elks, Moose, and American Legion.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Huntsville Cemetery May 5, 2019 at 2 P.M.

A celebration of life dinner will follow the graveside service at the VFW Post 1080 in Bellefontaine.

The arrangements are being handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
