Danny J. “Goober” Sullivan, 57, of Belle Center, Ohio, died at 9:25 P.M. Friday, August 14, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio. He was born in Kenton, Ohio, on August 14, 1952, a son of Fern Ann Tevis Sullivan, who survives in Belle Center, and the late Richard D. Sullivan.
On December 12, 1975, he married the former Jerene Anne Karus, and she survives, along with a son, Rich Sullivan of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; daughters, Rachel (Dave Adams) Schneider of Mansfield, Ohio, and Lisa Sullivan of Belle Center; brothers, Charlie (Jeanne) Sullivan of Belle Center, and Jerry (Janet) Sullivan of Bellefontaine, Ohio; sisters Delores (Gary) Mason of Oakwood and Brenda (Roger) Beaverson of Belle Center; three granddaughters, Brittany, Delaney and Harley Schneider; and several nieces and nephews.
A retired maintenance supervisor, he worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton for thirty two years. He was a member of the Belle Center Presbyterian Church and the “Guys Truth Club” of the Belle Center Pool Hall. An avid golfer, he enjoyed all sports as well as walking.
Pastor William F. Russell will conduct the funeral service at 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling hours are from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Interment is in Byhalia Cemetery.
