David Justin Givens

David Justin Givens, 62, of Ridgeway, Ohio passed away Friday morning, August 13, 2021, at Belle Springs Nursing & Rehab Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio surrounded by his family.

David was born in Bellefontaine August 16, 1958, to the late Lewis M. and Minnie J. (Stanford) Givens.  He was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Samantha and Brittney; a brother-in-law, Tony Eaton; a sister, Carol Simmons and sister-in-laws, Carol Sumney and Arica Schrader.

David married Valeria C. Spence August 10, 1979, and she survives in Ridgeway.  He is also survived by children: Benjamin Givens of Russells Point, Ohio, Justin (Alivia Griffith) Givens of Bellefontaine, Jessica (Colton) Wreede of Ridgeway and Lilith Givens of Ridgeway; nine grandchildren: Daniel, Rayne, Lewis, Axle, Wyatt, Wade, Winston, Lila and Kamaria; brothers and sisters: JoAnna Eaton of West Liberty, Ohio, Cindy (Steve) Harris of DeGraff, Ohio, Gary Simmons of Bellefontaine, Toni (Robert) Schrader of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Shirley (Fred) Hawkins of Lima, Ohio, Mike Sumney of Lima, Mike (Mary) Spence of Rushsylvania, Eva (Gary) Adams of Lima, Susan (Robert) Slagle of Buckeye Lake and Herb Schrader of Rushsylvania and a lot of nieces and nephews.

David worked as an electrician for DAB / Glacier Daido Metals from 1978 – 2002.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping.

Pastor Mark Bishop will officiate a graveside service Friday, August 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Rushsylvania Cemetery.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine is honored to serve the Givens family.
