David Allen Jenkins

David Allen Jenkins, 74, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 4, 1946, in Logan County Ohio, a son of the late Hubert Clarence and Maria Jane (Barger) Jenkins. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Seeley, and Rita Taylor and a brother, Kermit Jenkins.

In August of 1982, David married the former Beverly Ann Durflinger in Springfield, Ohio and she survives along with two children, Kimberly Runkle and Christine Lane; two children who were special to David, Dwayne Gillen and Laurie (Rick) Haney; four grandchildren, Cody (Cleva) Blair, Jaylynn Lane, Trevor Blair and Aaron Belcher; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard (Eloise) Jenkins and Roy (Jackie) Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.

David served in the United States Navy from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1991. He retired from Rockwell where he had worked as a machinist. David enjoyed fishing in his leisure time.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021, at the  Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Gary Brown will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
