David Oliver

David Howard Oliver, 57, of Bellefontaine, was called home on Thursday, January 12, 2017. He passed away at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH.

He was born on August 13, 1959 in Columbus to the late William Howard and Dorothy M. (Thompson) Oliver. Preceding him in death is a brother, James W. Oliver; uncles, John “Jack” Oliver, Stanley H. Oliver and Dale Thompson Sr.; aunts, Loucelle Armstrong Harter, Clara Thompson and Beverly Thompson; and a step uncle, Don Gavor.

He was married 37 years to the former Sandra Lynn Casto and she survives along with their children, Maria Oliver and William E. Oliver; grandsons, Christian Jones (15), Ayden I. Scott (12), James W.H. Oliver (12) and Rowen M. Scott (9); brothers, Bob and Stanley Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.

A great husband, father, son, brother and grandfather, David was a loving hardworking man that would do anything for anyone and never expecting a handout. He worked hard for everything he had, starting over more than once. His family was his life and his life he lived was for his family, whom will be lost without him. He always was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and made sure to take care of his neighbors. David was a great all around man.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date for close friends and family.

The Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty assisted the family with arrangements.
