Debra Ann (Cole) Sherard, 67, of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at residence. She was born in Belding, Michigan on February 15, 1957, to the late William Cole Sr. and Francis Elizabeth (Lyons) Rozell.
On October 6, 1973, in Lima, Ohio, she married Charles Eugene Sherard, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2024.
Debra was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Cole Jr., John Cole, and Robert Cole, and her sister, Betty Jean Martinez.
Debra is survived by her daughters, Valarie Sherard, and Billie (James) Cole; grandchildren, Bryson Sherard, Hunter Britt, Braylon Branson, and Nova Cole; brothers, Randy Cole Sr. and Wesley Cazier; sister, Sue Rozell Jurado; several nieces and nephews; her stepfather, who raised her, Wesley Cazier Sr.; and lifelong best friend, Rosalee Clark Hunt.
Debra loved doing arts and crafts. She would make jewelry and enjoyed working with resin. Debra loved to draw and made beautiful artwork. She loved being with her grandchildren, and in her younger years, she and her husband enjoyed socializing with friends. Debra will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the VFW Post 1080, 216 Orchard Ave, Bellefontaine.
