Deloris “Jane” McClain, 72, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Piqua, Ohio on November 26, 1944, the daughter of the late Chester and Deloris (Crawford) Argabright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald C. McClain who passed away in July of 1992, a daughter, Mary Flick, a grandson, James McClain, a great grandson, Dawson Clary, a sister, Deborah McClain and a brother, Herbie Argabright.
She is survived by two daughters, Janie (Anthony) Escamilla and Shanna (Mark Neer) McClain, both of Bellefontaine and five sons; Kennard “Alex” Shepard of Bellefontaine, Ronald (Tami) McClain of Florida, Norman McClain, William McClain and Duane (Michelle) McClain all of Bellefontaine, 26 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two sisters, Eileen Marker of Russells Point and Alice (Earl) Cockrell of Urbana, and one brother, Chester Argabright of Texas, a son-in-law, Michael Flick of Tipp City and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane was a member of the Bellefontaine First Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, putting together puzzles and collecting photographs. She loved time spent with her family socializing with one another.
Pastor Gary Brown will officiate a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
