Derek Finley Notestine, age 23, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio October 18, 1993, the son of the late George Notestine and Rosetta (Marx) Notestine, who survives in Sandy Hook, Kentucky.
In March of 2014, he married the former Courtney Arbogast and she survives along with their two daughters, Arianna and Sora Notestine. He is also survived by a sister, Tiffany Notestine; three half-sisters, Heather Notestine, Holly Dooley and Jenny Notestine; three half-brothers, Brock Notestine, Richie Trent and Duane Trent; his great grandmother, Minnie Marx; his mother in law, Cheri (John) Stevens; a brother in law, Kodi Smotherman; a sister in law, Hannah Reprogle, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Derek worked for NEX Transport. His passion was playing video games. He was a great husband and father who loved spending all his time with his wife, daughters and family.
Pastor Bill Riley will officiate a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Russells Point Church of God in Russells Point, Ohio followed by lunch at Derek's grandmother-in-laws residence, (Debbie Bowers) 255 Market Street in Lakeview, Ohio.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
