Dixie L. Detrick

Dixie L. Detrick, 70, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio August 17, 1946, to the late Paul and Eileen (Huffman) Grimes.

On November 4, 1967, Dixie married Wilbur “Bill” Detrick in DeGraff, Ohio and he survives along with their two children, Bonnie (Tim) Stockstill of Sidney, Ohio and David Detrick of Council Bluffs, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ryan Evans, Kacie (Quinten) Larison, Holly Evans, Brandi Motsinger; five great grandchildren, Brayden Cutcher, Breeauna Cutcher, Jordan Evans, Camden Evans, and Lillyann Michelle Fogt; a sister, Sherry (Dennis) Ward; four nieces and three nephews.

A member of Stony Creek Church of the Brethren in Bellefontaine, Dixie had retired from Honda of America. She had a passion for dog grooming, showing horses, and most especially spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2017, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home  210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, Ohio. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
