Dixie Ann (Brugler) Easton of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away August 11, 2012 in her home. She was born May 3, 1929 in Winter Garden, Florida, a daughter of the late Carl L. and Sarah Pearl (Truelove) Brugler. She was also preceded in death by a brother Carl R. Brugler, Jr. and a half sister, Wandah Brugler Louden.
Survivors include her husband John W. “Wes” Easton, whom she married May 22, 1948 in Covington, Kentucky. Also surviving are two sons, Timothy Lynn (Brenda) Easton of Bellefontaine and Jeffrey John Easton of West Liberty, Ohio; three grandsons Wesley E. (April) Easton, Daniel L. (“Sam”) Easton and James M. (Abby) Easton, all of Bellefontaine; two great-granddaughters Lauren and Julia Easton and two great-grandsons, Gage and Daylon Easton; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dixie enjoyed watching TV, especially Ohio State football and basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. She really liked to fish, hunt mushrooms, work crossword puzzles, crochet, knit, and play cards with her friend Barbara. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine and a life-member of the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild.
Pastor Ron Irick will officiate the funeral service Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine at 11:00 A.M. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Interment will be at the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Big Springs United Methodist Church.
