Doit Edwin “Pete” Miller, 74, of West Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 in the Emergency Room at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born on December 15, 1940 in Union County, Ohio, a son of the late Doit Edward and Bertha (Predmore) Miller. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Seth Miller
On September 26, 1959 in Logan County, he married the former Janet M. Kirtley and she survives along with a daughter, Angela (Tony) Stratton of Bellefontaine; sons, Rodney (Rebecca) Miller of Jackson Center, Jeffrey (Mary) Miller of West Mansfield; 6 grandchildren, Alex Miller, Jason Stratton, Heather (Josh) Deans, Erin (Bradley) Davis, Brenda Miller & Luke (fiancé’ Nicole McNamara) Miller; sisters, Patricia Ceman of Windsor, Canada, Charolet (Carol) Losey of East Liberty; brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Miller of Bellefontaine, James (Linda) Miller of Pataskala; Richard “Butch” (Peggy) Miller of LaGrange, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
He was a foreman at Rockwell in Bellefontaine and also a dairy farmer since 1984.
He attended North Greenfield Methodist Church. When he was younger he enjoyed fishing, softball, bowling and golfing. He also enjoyed visiting with his Amish friends.
Pastor Linda Dulin-Moore will officiate an 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine where friends may call on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in North Greenfield Cemetery.
