Donald Glenn Ashba, 88, of Belle Center, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Glenn was born in Kenton, on June 15, 1934, to the late Dean and Ethel (Detwiler) Ashba. He was also preceded in death by wives Marie Harter Ashba and Martha Flowers Ashba, a brother Robert Ashba, and brothers-in-law J. Edwin Gantz, William Lee Gantz, and Bobby B. Gantz.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Jerolynn (Gantz) Ashba, of Belle Center, whom he married on February 10, 2007. He is also survived by sons: Darrold (Verna) Ashba of New Bloomington, Ohio, Perry (Frieda) Ashba of Marion, and David Ashba of Dublin; daughters: Linda (Dan) Brammer of Marion, Kathy Jeffers of St. Joe, Minnesota; step-children: Deniece (Robert) Knoblock of Mesa, Arizona, Katie (Art) Daniels of Belle Center, and Joseph (Heather) Ruhlen of Waddell, Arizona; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mary Jean Ashba of Kenton, Eileen Lee of Bellefontaine, Marjorie King of Bellefontaine, Gaythel Krauss of Bellefontaine, Marilyn Gantz of Katy, Texas, and LaDonna Gantz of West Liberty; and a former brother-in-law Rex (Dora) Flowers of Alger.
A 1954 graduate of Kenton High School, Glenn worked as a machine operator and welder at Wilco and later Rockwell. He has been a member of Kenton Church of the Nazarene since 1965 and has enjoyed working for God, “pickin & grinnin”, and watching westerns on the television.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 11am – 1pm at the Kenton Church of the Nazarene, 113 Jacob Parrott Road, Kenton, where Pastor Dave Dooley will officiate the funeral at 1pm. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.
