Donald Craig
Donald A. Craig, 76 of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away at 3:08 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2012, at the Green Hills Center in West Liberty. He was born in Springfield, Ohio April 6, 1935, to the late Richard and Elsie Eloise (Gardner) Craig. On December 27, 1974, he married the former Kim Heeja in South Korea, and she survives.
He is also survived by three daughters; Tracy Craig of Columbus, Ohio, Karen Craig of Columbus, and Dianna (Nathaniel) Tennant of Botkins, Ohio; four sons, Eric Craig of Victorville, California, Donald Allen (Leslie) Craig, Jr. of Springfield, Ohio, Timothy Craig of Columbus, and Michael (Rebecca) Craig of Dublin, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a step mother, Catherine Craig of Michigan; a sister, Brenda (Denny) Bronston of Springfield; three brothers, Steve Biggs of Tennessee, Curt Biggs of Rushsylvania, Ohio, and Richard Craig, Jr. of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. A son, Vincent Craig and a granddaughter, Sammy Craig preceded him in death.
A retired United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran, he worked at Honda Transmission in Russells Point for twenty years. Donald was an avid Cleveland Browns, LA Dodgers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, who enjoyed playing softball and golf. He was a very respectful man who loved his family and enjoyed making people laugh.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grace Chapel Church in West Liberty with Pastor James Alter officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 1 to 3 P.M. and 5 to 8 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donald’s memory to the Logan County VA Office c/o Shelly Kneece 121 S. Opera St. Bellefontaine, OH 43311 to assist area veterans in need.
