Donald W. Kelly, 69, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009, at his residence. He was born March 30, 1940 in Logan County, Ohio, to the late Howard and Josephine (Godwin) Kelly.
Surviving is his wife, Linda Tapp, whom he married August 25, 1958 in Mt. Victory, Ohio. Also surviving are three daughters, Pamela (Rick) Crumm of Rushsylvania, Terri Thompson of Maynardville, Tennessee, and Lisa Huffman of Rushsylvania; three brothers, Richard (Kathy) Kelly of Ridgeway, Ohio, Danny (Janet) Kelley of Kenton, Ohio, and Dennis (Kelly) Kelly of Ridgeway; a sister, Caroline (Earl) Definbaugh of Bellefontaine, Ohio; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Don worked as a security guard for the Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was a standard bred harness racing driver and groomer. He drove stock cars, was a NASCAR racing fan, an OSU fan and enjoyed fishing.
Pastor Lloyd Ferguson will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 27, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Rushsylvania, where calling hours will be Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in the Rushsylvania Cemetery.
