Donald A. Stalk

Donald A. Stalk, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Otterbein Green Hills Senior Life Community. He was born in Kenton, Ohio on November 28, 1951, to the late Leo Stalk and Glenna (Lackey) Lawhern.

On April 22, 1995, he married Anita (Smith) Stalk, and she survives.

He is also survived by his sons, Mike (Stacy Shoemaker) Stalk of Forest, Chris (Jennifer) Stalk of Kenton, and Nate Schweitzer of Bellefontaine; mother of his children, Marsha Scott; grandchildren, Caitlin, Michael Jr., Jenna, Payton, Alan, Andee, and Kaysen; great grandchild, Claire; stepsons, Lane (Lisa) Moon, and Lance (Becky) Moon; brothers, Craig Stalk of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Russ Stalk of Columbus; 5 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Allan and Phyllis Smith, Ed and Deb Smith, and Joan Smith.

Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Barrett; stepson, Leath Moon; his grandparents, who raised him, Mike and Ester Stalk; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Laird and Betty Smith; and brother-in-law, Richard Smith.

Donald served as a plane mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. Subsequently, he worked for Conrail on the railroad, drove for Big Daddy’s Towing, and was a skilled carpenter. Donald enjoyed fishing with his friend, Dan, and was a dedicated fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, prioritizing their games every Saturday. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, possessed a keen sense of humor, and had a great affection for animals. Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A gathering for family and friends will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kenton Eagles 2163, 10750 U.S. 68, Kenton.
