Donald Stevens

Donald H. Stevens, 86, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born January 19, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Horace R. and Bessie (Freeze) Stevens.

On October 1, 1945, he married Dena E. Chaney in Springfield, Ohio, and she preceded him in death May 4, 2010. Also preceding him in death were five brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Lee Stevens of Columbus, Ohio and Kevin Ray (Amy) Stevens of West Mansfield, Ohio, and a granddaughter, Arika.

Donald owned and operated a dry cleaning business. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was a member of the Bellefontaine V.F.W Post #1080, American Legion #173, and the Eagles.

Deacon Harold Dipple will conduct the 11:00 A.M. funeral service Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, Ohio, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Springfield, Ohio.
