Donald Stewart

Donald M. “Max” Stewart, 75, of West Liberty, Ohio passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville, Ohio. He was born July 14, 1935 in Champaign County, OH to the late Harry and Doris (Ward) Stewart.

On April 7,1953, he married Jane VanVoorhis in Liberty, Indiana, and she survives along with sons, Robert Alan (Belinda) Stewart of Catawba, Ohio and Jeffrey Guy Stewart of Urbana, Ohio; daughters, Krista Brugler of Springfield, Ohio, Jeannie (Scott) House of Marysville, Ohio and Tina Ferner of West Liberty; brothers, James Franklin (Judy) Stewart of Caledonia, Ohio, and Paul Robert (Diane) Stewart of Sidney, Ohio; a sister, Vera (Richard) Smith of Rosewood, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren, and special dog, “Lady”.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donald M. Stewart and brothers, Kenneth and Karl Stewart.

In 2006, Max retired from Howard Paper in Urbana, Ohio.

Marshall Pierson will conduct the funeral service at 3 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Zanesfield, Ohio Cemetery.
