Donna Spencer

Donna R. Spencer, 95 of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.

She was born on March 31, 1920 in Huntsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank and Maude (Burnside-Woodruff) Underwood.

On June 12, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana she married John R. Spencer II and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1992. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Mildred Jenkins and Irene Horn, a brother, Colonel Richard Underwood, grandson, Scott Bradbury, and a grandson-in-law, Duane Dye.

She worked at the Logan County Engineer’s Office and was a member of Huntsville Presbyterian Church and the Logan County Historic Society. She graduated in 1938 from Huntsville High School.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Bradbury of Russells Point, Anita (Russell) Bettis of Columbus; son, John Robert “Bob” (Connie) Spencer III of Huntsville; grandchildren, Robert (Sally) Bradbury, Gayle Ann Dye, John Robert (Nichole) Spencer IV, Tobi (Darin) Collins; several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Rev. Ben Beres will officiate a funeral service on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Huntsville United Presbyterian Church, 6490 Fruit Street, Huntsville, where friends may call 1 hour prior. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
