Doris M. Nevers, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Wednesday, July 4th in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Roundhead, OH on October 8, 1933 to the late Jesse and Sarah (Gibson) Nichols. She is preceded in death by 3 sisters and 6 brothers, granddaughters, Diana Lieber, Amber Nevers, and a great granddaughter, Chelsea Marie Bailey.
Doris was a loving mother to Melinda Carpenter, Carol (Bill) Nevers, Lisa Epperson and Sarah (Larry) Parmer, who all survive along with grandchildren, John, Jackie and Thad Bailey, Angel Nevers (her best friend), Tori Rose, Dustin (Laura) Epperson, Kiersten, Erica and Gage Parmer; great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Ashley Lieber, Brandon Arts, Josh Bailey and Brian Roberts, Derrick and Kevin Bailey, Chantz Rose, (her fishing buddy), Aaliyah Bailey, Charlotte and Marcus Epperson and Arianne and Nolan Parmer. Also surviving are her ex-husband and friend, Tom Nevers, and two dedicated nephews, Eugene Bailey of Lima and Wayne Arnett of California.
Doris retired from Siemens in 1995 after more than 37years of service. She later worked for Dollar General where she met many good friends.
We will always remember her as our loving mother, grandmother, and best friend. She was the backbone for the family that will miss her forever.
A graveside service for all of Doris’s family and friends will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10th at the Preston Cemetery in Alger, OH. Senior Pastor
Craig Howie of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ will conduct the service.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements.
