Doris Parmer

Doris Louise Parmer, 79, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 12:10 pm at her home. She was born in Hardin County, Ohio on January 1, 1936 to the late Mary Ruthella Vermillion Dunlap and John Richard Shields. On December 24, 1954, she married Marion F. Parmer in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2008.

Doris was a mother to many devoting her life to caring for others. She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Anita (Mike) Day, Ronda (John) Houchin, Melanie (Brian) Geboy and Karen Parmer, all of Bellefontaine; sons, Dean Parmer and Doug Parmer, both of Bellefontaine, and Jerry (Jeannie) Parmer of Birmingham, Alabama; one brother, Robert (Thanna) Shields of Belle Center; four sisters, Cathy (Steve) Waitman of Waynesfield, Marsha (Jim) Bottorff of Delaware, Ohio, Charlene Dunlap and Dana Jo Dunlap, both of Bellefontaine; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine at 4pm with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home two hours prior to the memorial service.
