Doris Schindewolf

Biography

Doris M. Schindewolf, 86, of DeGraff, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her home. She was born in Miami Township, Logan County, Ohio on May 21, 1929 to the late Hugh and Zetta (Dorsey) Rose.

On February 15, 1947 Doris married Richard A. Schindewolf in Richmond, Indiana and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1978. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Don Rose.

Doris is survived by her five children, Pam (John) Hickman, Sharon Kennedy, Dan (Suzie) Schindewolf, Jeff (Kathy) Schindewolf and Robin (John) Speck; grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Hickman, Greg (Jen) Hickman, Lisa (Joel) Snow, Christina (Louis) Pechaver, Brent (Rachel) Kennedy, Stacey (Bart) Jones, Chad Schindewolf, Clint Schindewolf, Casey (Justin) Grimes, Tracie (Dan) Allen, Tyler Schindewolf, Sarah Schindewolf, Jared Speck and Emilee Speck; 16 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Frances Foley; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Deloris “Dee” Harshbarger and Phyllis Morris; and a special caregiver, Cindy Lumbatis.

A 1947 graduate of Harrison-Adams School in Rosewood, Doris was a member of the Logansville Community Church. She retired from Copeland in 1992, following 25 years of service.

Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. Pastor Dana Kidder will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio.
