Doris Jean Thompson, 74, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine on September 1, 1934, the daughter of the late Pete and Florence (Snapp) Kotsaris. Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Lester, Bill and Gus Kotsaris.
She is survived by her husband Norman D. Thompson, whom she married August 4, 1952 in Indiana; a son, Jeffrey Thompson of Urbana, Ohio; two daughters, Gloria Thompson and Melody (Shannon) King, both of Bellefontaine; one sister, Shirley of New Carlisle, Ohio; one brother, Russell Kotsaris of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren, Jason, Matthew and Christopher Overholt, Nicholas Thompson and Cheyenne Profitt; and three great grandchildren.
She enjoyed crafts, collecting dolls and loved her cats. She worked for Wal-Mart of Bellefontaine for 11 years.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 P.M. on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mike Sandlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
