Dorothy Brown

Biography

Dorothy R. Brown, age 88, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

She was born May 1, 1925 in Green Camp, Ohio, to the late Charles William and Clara Bertha (Schlecht) Rush.

On March 9, 1947, she married William Homer Brown in LaRue, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1997. Also preceding her in death were fourteen siblings, her being the last of fifteen, they are all together now.

Surviving are her children, Esther Marie Baker of Bellefontaine, Clarissa Ann (Gary) Heath of West Liberty, Ohio and William H. (Judy) Brown Jr. of East Liberty, Ohio; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy worked for Scotts, Banknote in Dublin, as a cook for East Liberty schools, Midwest Express, a greeter at Kroger’s in Bellefontaine and most recently, a hostess at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Middleburg Methodist Church and the S&C Club.

A private family interment will be held at a later date in the Middleburg Cemetery.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
