Dorothy Wallace

Dorothy Wallace, age 89, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning, August 16, 2014 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.

She was born in Bellefontaine November 11, 1924, to the late George and Opal (Marquis) Harrington. She married Harold O. Wallace July 30, 1971 in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death February 10, 1999. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Herbert, Roland and Francis Harrington.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Howard Edward (Marena) Latimer of West Liberty, Ohio, William Rusty (Pam) Latimer of Bellefontaine and Terry Lee (Deb) Latimer of Pensacola, Florida; a daughter, Marvalene Downing of Bellefontaine; sixteen grandchildren and thirty two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy worked as an aide at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine and had been a school bus driver for Bellefontaine City Schools as well as a guide at Ohio Caverns in West Liberty, Ohio. A crafty person, Dorothy enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine.

Interment will be at a later date at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
