Douglas A. “Doug” Loehr, 59, of West Liberty, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, March 28, 2011. He was born March 4, 1952, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late James and Norma (Robison) Loehr.

On September 17, 1983, he married Gina Lapp in West Liberty, and she survives along with their sons, Bradley Loehr, Andy (Mandy Hochstedler) Loehr, both of West Liberty and Danny Loehr of Urbana, Ohio; his siblings, Scott (Karen) Loehr, Linda (Lou) Alleva both of Pennsylvania and Connie Loehr of Urbana; many nieces, nephews and very special great nieces and nephews.

He worked for Automotive Testing Laboratory and the Bellefontaine Examiner.

He was member of Grace Chapel Christian Union Church in Santa Fe where he played the bass guitar, and was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Mad River Lodge #161 in West Liberty. He loved to fish, hunt, and enjoyed photography.

Pastor Scott Anderson will officiate the 10:00 A.M. funeral service Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday, April 1, 2011. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
