Douglas Anthony Meeker

Douglas Anthony Meeker, age 53, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine to the late Henry Junior and Eleanor Louise (Muth) Meeker.  Doug was also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard “Eddie” Meeker and Henry J. Meeker.

Doug was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School and Urbana University.  He worked at the Stolle Corp. in Sidney, Ohio and later was a manager at Revco, K-Mart and Big Lots.  Doug enjoyed cooking, reading, watching movies and was known for being quick-witted.

Doug is survived by his siblings, Michael T. (Shirley) Meeker, Mary Patricia (Paul) Frost, Diane (Bob) Oliver, all of Bellefontaine and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Oakdale Cemetery at a later date.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
