Dwaine F. Golliday, age 73, of rural Lewistown, Ohio passed away at 8:50 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

He was born in Logan County Ohio May 12, 1944, the son of the late Francis Edward and Noma Mae (Barnes) Golliday.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Golliday and twin siblings at birth.

On October 13, 1985, he married Dixie (Knief) Wilkins in Lewistown and she survives along with a son, Steve (Tami) Golliday of Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Keli (Rich) Parker of Waynesfield, Ohio; a step-daughter, Bobbie (Bill) Wilkins-Wischmeyer of Huntsville, Ohio; two step-sons, Ed (Susie) Wilkins and Doug Wilkins, both of Lewistown; four grandchildren Zack Golliday of Ada, Ohio, Delaney (Gage) Moore of Maryland, Hunter Parker and Samantha Parker, both of Waynesfield; two sisters, JoAnne Harford of Lakeview, Ohio and Mary Sosby of Jackson Center, Ohio and a brother, Ed (Jan) Golliday of Lewistown.

Dwaine was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver and farmed for many years. He was a longtime member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Botkins, Ohio. He also enjoyed working with wood and metal and caring for his family’s horses.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.

Father Patrick Sloneker will celebrate a memorial mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2018 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (Rhine) in Botkins.

Burial will be at the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery with military honors.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
