Edith H. “Midge” Meyer, 74, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born January 18, 1935 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Irwin and Maggie (Brown) Clay.
On January 7, 1961, she married Al Meyer in Bellefontaine, Ohio, and he survives in Santa Fe, Ohio.
Also surviving are three sons, Eugene Meyer of Columbus, Ohio, Joe (Karen) Meyer of Marion and Gale “Scott” (Diane) Meyer of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a sister, Elsie Kitchen of Hurricane, West Virginia; and five grandchildren, Ashlee, April & Adam Meyer, and Nathaniel and Elijah Meyer.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, Milt, Asa, Wade and Elmer and sisters, Normal, Tesee, Mary and Mary Lou.
Midge was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. She worked as a P.A.U. Assistant at Heartland of Bellefontaine and was a homemaker. She devoted her life to her family.
Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Tuesday, November 10, 2009, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and again on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the funeral home, from 12:30 to 1:15 P.M. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday at the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. William Oda officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
