Edna Hershberger

Biography

Edna Hershberger, age 80, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away Monday morning April 7, 2014, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born in Hartville, Ohio August 17, 1933, to the late Henry A. and Barbara (Shrock) Coblentz. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Coblentz; a son-in-law, Dave Wagler; three grandchildren, Deborah Rose Yoder, Joel David Yoder and Steven Ray Yoder; a brother, Henry “Sonny” Coblentz and a sister, Sarah Coblentz.

Edna married Jonas Hershberger May 20, 1954 in Hartville, Ohio, and he survives in Huntsville. She is also survived by children, Ruth (Leon) Troyer of Belle Center, Ohio, Delilah Wagler of Canton, Ohio, Kathryn (Ron) Wagler of Cross Hill, South Carolina, Jim (Iva) Hershberger of Antrim, Ohio, Barbara (Paul) Yoder of Huntsville, Mary Jane (John) Mast of Middleport, New York, and Marlene (David) Yoder of Rushsylvania, Ohio; thirty nine grandchildren; thirty nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Albert (Ada) Coblentz of Homeworth, Ohio, Leroy Coblentz of Senecaville, Ohio, Elmer (Rose) Coblentz of Philipsburg, Montana, Barbara Ann (Ernest) Lumley of Bracey, Virginia, Emma (Harvey) Yoder of Sarasota, Florida and Ada (Henry) Coblentz of Etowah, North Carolina and a brother-in-law, Chris Coblentz of Milroy, Indiana.

Edna was a member of the Belle Center Amish Church and was well known for her catering business. Her husband, children and grandchildren were always close to her heart.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Mahlon Coblentz residence 7443 Co. Rd. 49 in Belle Center from 1 to 8 P.M. Bishop Marcus Schlabach will conduct the funeral service Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the Mahlon Coblentz residence at 9:30 A.M. Interment will be in the Belle Center Amish Cemetery.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with the arrangements.
