Edward Ralph Dickinson

Edward Ralph Dickinson, age 63, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Lima, Ohio September 2, 1953, to Ralph Allen and Irene Rosetta Birt Dickinson.  Ed was preceded in death by his father Ralph, his wife Cinda L. Boggs Dickinson, and a great-grandson Caleb.

Ed is survived by his mother Irene R. Dickinson of Urbana, Ohio; children Chad (Julie) Harrington of Cincinnati, Ohio, Poppy Dickinson of Bellefontaine, Misty Stachler of Sidney, Ohio, Nikki Dickinson of Jumbo, Ohio and Jane Ginter of Lakeview, Ohio; several grandchildren including Cory Oyer, Justice Oyer, Cody Stachler, Cole Harrington, Morgan Garrison, Skylar Garrison, Brittany Ginter, and Kylee Pallaschke; great-grandchildren, Keighlynn Oyer, Shawn Humphrey, and Clinton Humphrey; two brothers, Bob (Kathy) Dickinson of Bellefontaine and Thomas (Becky) Dickinson of Wapakoneta, Ohio; four sisters, Patricia J. Montrose of Belle Center, Ohio, Sandy (Ed) Huffman of Bellefontaine, Sherry (Ted) Kerr of DeGraff, Ohio and Anna (John) Bell of Spencerville, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

A veteran of the United States Navy and later the United States Army Reserves, Ed was a farmer and had previously worked as a tree trimmer and operated a sawmill.  He attended the Indian Lake Baptist Church.  Ed was loved by many and was considered to be a father figure to many.

Pastor Don Faulder will officiate a memorial service Friday, August 11, 2017 at 3 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at a later date at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
