Edward Frances Post

Edward Frances Post, 97, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at The Homestead at Logan Acres Senior Community in Bellefontaine.

He was born in Logan County Ohio June 28, 1924, a son of the late George W. and Mary A. (Swartz) Post.  He was also preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.

On January 18, 1953, he married Lucille Marie (Sheperd) Post and she survives in Bellefontaine.  He is also survived by a special niece and her husband, Janet and Lynn Wilcox of Pickerington, Ohio; a niece, Jeanine Corbely of Cincinnati, Ohio and good friends and former neighbors, Matt and Tanisha McCreary of Bellefontaine.

Ed graduated from Bellefontaine High School and had worked as a clerk for Kroger’s in Bellefontaine until his retirement.  He was a 50+ year member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine where he was an honorary Deacon.  He was also a member of the Logan County History Center and the Logan County Friendly Senior Center.

Rev. Kevin C. Greenwald will officiate a graveside service at 12 noon Friday, October 22, 2021, in the gazebo at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
