Elinor Raymond

Elinor Jane Raymond, 85, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Monday evening, November 5, 2012 at Green Hills Inn in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born in West Liberty January 2, 1927, to the late Homer and Grace (Derr) Knabel. Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Harold S. Oder in 1974.

On September 18, 1976 she married Henry N. Raymond in California, and he survives in West Liberty. Also surviving are her sons, Guy (Nancy) Oder of Buford, Georgia, and Mitchell Oder of California, and two granddaughters.

She attended Wheaton College in Illinois and later graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. While in California, she worked in accounting with social services for ten years. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty with Pastor Cheryl Siegenthaler officiating.

Interment took place at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
