Elizabeth Timmons

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Timmons, 89, of Seminole Island, Huntsville, Ohio passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on November 27, 1925 in West Jefferson, Ohio, the daughter of the late Riddle R. and Ethel (Crellin) Sidner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Sidner Norcott and a grandson, J.R. Shaw.

On June 5, 1948 in West Jefferson, Ohio she married Roger Timmons and he survives along with their children, Kelly (Robert) Shaw of Rushsylvania, son, Grant Timmons of Zanesfield, and grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, and Roger (Heather) Shaw.

She was a graduate of Defiance High School in Defiance, Ohio as well as Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. While in college, she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and Delta Psi Delta. She was also a member of the Bellefontaine First Church of God.

Pastor Ray Headings will officiate a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown St. Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be private.
