Biography

Ellen Grace Burkhammer, age 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, April 28, 2014 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

She was born in Weston, West Virginia May 15, 1933, to the late Fay M. and Dora (Moody) Smith. Grace was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas F. Smith and a sister, Betty “Goldie” Dolan.

Grace is survived by several nieces and nephews including Sharon (Kenny) Rodgers of Massillon, Ohio, Kenny (Carrie) Dolan, Tom (Joni) Dolan, Gary (Dee Dee) Dolan, Terry (Tonya) Dolan, Betty Lou Burkhammer, all of Bellefontaine, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Grace had worked at the Holiday Inn and later retired from Kroger’s where she worked in the deli. She was affiliated with the Vineyard Christian Church in Bellefontaine.

Pastor Chuck Temple will officiate the funeral service Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 6 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2 P.M. at the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, West Virginia.
