Ellen Reynolds

Ellen E. Reynolds, 89, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born in Bellefontaine April 24, 1921 to the late Harry Bion and Marie (Daugherty) Clingerman.

On July 19, 1942 she married Douglas Danner “Dan” Reynolds in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death January 16, 2003. Also preceding her in death was a son, Jeffrey Reynolds.

Surviving are her sons, Frederick Douglas (Susan) Reynolds of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Stephen Wayne (Donna) Reynolds of Delaware, Ohio; a brother, Dean (Betty) Clingerman of Springboro, Ohio; sister-in-law, Alice Ann Pruitt of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren, Becky, Suzy, Maureen, Sean, and Shannon and five great grandchildren.

A Bellefontaine High School graduate, Ellen worked for the Clerk of Courts in Bellefontaine. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, Eastern Star, and a volunteer at the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild. She was a civilian employee of the United States Army Corp during World War II in Boca Raton, Florida.

Rev. Ed Beale will officiate the funeral at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
