Elmer Dean Long, 73, of DeGraff, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Ayden Healthcare of Belle Springs in Bellefontaine. He was born in Celina, Ohio on April 20, 1949, to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Sealscott) Long. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Long.
On July 15, 1967, he married Karen (Christian) Long and she survives in DeGraff.
He is also survived by children: Robert (Jenny) Long, Carmen (Mike) Lundvall, and Mary Elizabeth Long; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Charlene (Doug) Woodruff; brother, Charles (Joyce) Long and many nieces and nephews.
Elmer was an avid hunter and raised buffalo for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Per Elmer’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no public services.
