Ernest Perle Woodard, 87, of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was born December 28, 1925 in Hancock County Ohio, to the late Clarence and Carrie (Druechel) Woodard. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Cyril, Donald and Eugene Woodard and a sister, Sara Kearfoot.
He married Gladys Sebring July 18, 1953, and she survives along with their children, Gregory Woodard of West Liberty, Ohio, Douglas Woodard of Charlotte, North Carolina, Tamara (Fred) Johnson of Albion, Michigan and Robin Harris of Wesley Chapel, Florida; his sisters, Margaret (Leon) Ogg of Normal, Illinois and Marguerite (Roger) Young of Springfield, Ohio; a sister-in law, Olive Woodard of Bellefontaine, Ohio; six grandchildren, Andrea Shafer, Brittney, Connor, Nicholas and Laine Woodard and Alexander Harris; and great grandchildren, Jordan and Devin Shafer.
Forrest Amidon will officiate the 2:00 P.M. funeral service Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty, Ohio with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
