Ernestine C. Stevens, 90, formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, May 19, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton.
Ernestine was born in Greenfield, Ohio January 16, 1922, to the late Ernest and Anneca Kemp Cox.
She married Howard A. Stevens in Bellefontaine August 17, 1938, and he preceded her in death February 14, 1993. She was also preceded in death by daughters Margery Stevens, Sharon Moran and Brenda Harvey, a grandchild, a brother and 2 sisters.
Ernestine is survived by her daughters Sandra (Gene) Skinner of Kettering, Ohio, Linda (David) Tritch of Centerville, Ohio; 3 grandchildren whom she raised, Richard Moran of Bellefontaine, Juana (Jamie) Harris of Australia and Ed (Umira) Moran of Colorado; several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Evelyn (Junior) Moore of Urbana, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernestine worked as a secretary for Attorney Levi Lile in Bellefontaine and was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine.
The funeral service will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 1 P.M. with calling hours two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave.
