Esther Louise Brugler, 98, of Bellefontaine, passed away at Campbell Place, Bellefontaine, on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.
She was born in Ridgeway, Ohio on March 20, 1918 a daughter to the late Samuel and Anna (Winner) LeVally.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garrett McKinley Brugler Jr., whom she married on August 9, 1947; sisters, Mable Sloan, Fern Smith, Marjorie Amerine and Mary Patrick; and brothers, Glen LeVally and Robert LeVally.
Esther is survived by a daughter, Rebecca A. Simmons; a son, Merlyn Dee (Terry) Brugler; five grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Engle, Nathaniel (Amanda) Brugler, Aaron (Staci) Brugler, Jessica (Zac) Johnson and Kari Simmons; ten great grandchildren; two step great-grandsons; and a sister, Alice Marker.
She worked as a clerk at the Post Office in Rushsylvania and was a member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ and the Samaritan Circle of Christian Service. Esther worked with Rushcreek Election Board for over thirty years. She was an avid word puzzle player.
A funeral service will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Lloyd Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday April 7, 2016 4-7 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Friday. Burial will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
