Esther M. Mohr, 94, long-time resident of DeGraff, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at The Inn of Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty.
She was born in Logan County, Ohio on July 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Lynn Ollington and Lena H. (Taylor) Hinkle. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William C. Mohr, who passed away February 3, 1982, and a brother, Taylor Hinkle.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheri Wilson and grandson, Blake Wilson, both of Beavercreek.
Esther was a long-time member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church and was a 1939 graduate of DeGraff High School. She worked serving the public for many years, with her husband at the People’s Building & Loan Company in DeGraff. Later on, she went to work for Huber Buchenroth’s and Peck’s Jewelers. She belonged to the Ohio Chapter of Eastern Star and played in several bridge clubs. She was an antique dealer specializing in French Haviland china and Florence figurines.
Pastor Kym James will officiate a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, DeGraff assisted the family with arrangements.
