Ethel Imogene Dysert, 95, of Huntsville, Ohio passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Huntsville, Ohio on April 15, 1920 to the late James Orlando and Bessie Mildred (Page) Willoby.

On March 23, 1940, she married Henry “Shorty” Dysert and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1996. Also preceding her in death were sisters, Louise (Bill) Sloop, Helen (Carl) Kennedy; brothers, Merril (Margie) Willoby, Horace (Annete) Willoby, Lloyd (Ada) Willoby; brother-in-law, Carl (Mickey) Dysert and son-in-law, Robert E. Grubbs.

She is survived by her two daughters; Judy Grubbs of Indian Lake and Stephanie Dysert of Huntsville; a son, Greg M. Dysert of Indian Lake; very special nieces, nephew and many friends.

A 1938 graduate of Huntsville High School, Ethel worked at the former Huntsville Bank as drive thru cashier where she shared her beautiful smile and personality for 24 years. During WWII, she was a real Rosie-the-Riveter, working at Sidney Monarch Machine Factory making parts. She was part of a team from Huntsville who would transport tanks (by driving them) from the Lima Tank Depot to Bellefontaine.
Ethel was the oldest member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church at the time of her passing. She also was a member of the Charles Collins Post #381 American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sitting on her porch in spring and summer, making delicious home-made noodles, going for rides, and eating out with her daughters. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Pastors Bryan Meadows and Karen Blackburn will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Huntsville United Methodist Church, 6611 Fruit Street, Huntsville, Ohio 43324. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6th from 5–7 p.m. at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine and one hour prior to the funeral at church. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
