Eula McKirahan

Eula Mae McKirahan, age 94, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born in Hardin County Ohio March 1, 1920, to the late J. Alex and Mary (Tough) Fulton.
On July 20, 1944, she married her high school sweetheart Wilfred “Willy” McKirahan, who preceded her in death December 25, 1992. Eula Mae and her husband were both graduates of Belle Center High School and lifetime members of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church.
Eula Mae was a bookkeeper for Kraus Jewelry in Kenton, Ohio.

Surviving are her children, Joyce (Robert) Ohler of Urbana, Ohio, Joe (Kelly) McKirahan of Kenton, Ohio, and Nancy (Paul) Benedetti of Bellefontaine, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Amy (Shawn) Bechtel of Zanesfield, Ohio, Michelle (Jeff) Fannin of Ostrander, Ohio, Jaime (Robert Jackson) McKirahan of North Carolina, Staci (Aaron) Brugler of Bellefontaine, Alex (Kristy) McKirahan of Bellefontaine, Matthew (Haley Goodrich) McKirahan of Kenton, Michael (Kim) McKirahan of Belle Center, Kristi (James) Brown of Marion, Ohio, Kathy (Andy) Nance of Urbana and Kerri Ohler of Urbana; and eighteen great grandchildren.

Eula Mae’s loving and generous heart touched everyone who knew her and shaped everything she did. She gave comfort with a smile, loved unconditionally, and put others before herself without asking for thanks or recognition. A lover of life and people, there was seldom a time that family or friends visited her that they weren’t received with a heartwarming smile and a homemade cookie. Hers was the deepest, steadiest kind of love and it made such a difference to everyone, especially those of us lucky enough to call her family. How can we thank God enough for you and the joy and delight you have given? -Thessalonians 3:9 TLB
