F. Louise Beatty, 96, of DeGraff, passed away at 7:05 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bloomfield Township, Ohio on October 9, 1920 to the late Ray Sherman and Tena Anna (Sidle) Strayer.
On January 21, 1945 Louise married Joseph Walter Beatty, and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2004. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Miller and Catherine Kuhn; and four brothers, Donald, Sherman, Harley and Robert Strayer.
Louise is survived by her four children, Jerry (Vivian) Beatty, Robert (Tina) Beatty, Jeanne (John) Stout, and Connie Beatty; five grandchildren, Greg (Ashley) Beatty, Kevin Beatty, Eric Beatty, Jessica Stout, and Jacob Stout; four great grandchildren, Laileigh, Cooper, McKenna and Sawyer Beatty; a brother, Richard Henry Strayer; and many nieces and nephews.
A homemaker and farmer, Louise was a 1938 graduate of DeGraff High School. She was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church and a 75 year member of Miami Grange #2158.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2016 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. Pastors Bill Halter and Michael Mitchell will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3rd at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
