Faith Harper

Faith Marie (Burden) Harper, 72, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, September 26, 2011 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born March 15, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Robert D. and Helen (Hatfield) Burden.

Faith is survived by her ex-husband, Samuel Harper of Wyoming; their children, Debbie (Ross) Garen of Worland, Wyoming, Laurie Denny and Samuel (Charlene) Harper II both of Powell, Wyoming, and David (Robyn) Harper of West Mansfield, Ohio; brothers, John Burden of Louisiana and David Burden of California; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Dale Burden, and a sister, Sharlene Kay Gibson preceded Faith in death.

Faith worked for Pacific Telephone Company in California as a switchboard operator for 20 years and retired in 1993. A 1957 graduate of Lewistown High School, Faith attended the New Richland Baptist Church. A wonderful grandma, she took care of all her grandchildren and enjoyed arts, crafts and gospel music.

Pastor David Wilson will conduct a memorial service Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 5:30 P.M. in the West Mansfield United Methodist Church, where friends may call from 4:30 P.M. to the time of the service. Her family will bury her cremains in Wyoming October 22, 2011.
